Hi Zeus, my apologies for the delay in welcoming you to plasma-universe.com, but I only just noticed... I had thought that the software would notify me by email of new contributors.

Thank you for your contributions, it is much appreciated. You may have noticed that plasma-universe.com is heavily biased towards to the Plasma Universe, rather than the Electric Universe. While there is much in common, there are some differences that I have omitted, only because they are not mainstream peer-reviewed. Even the Plasma Universe has its critics, and if I can keep this material 100% mainstream, there can be no criticism of including more speculative material.

This is no problem for articles such as Pulsar and Neutron star, but can become an issue with aspects of Electric Stars. So I'm not sure how to handle Electric Stars and other Electric Universe material. A small amount has now been peer reviewed in the recent Aug 2007 7th Special Issue on Space and Cosmic Plasma. Perhaps I need to create a separate Electric Universe Wiki, which would allow a much wider range of articles. Any suggestions? --Ian Tresman 16:29, 20 November 2007 (GMT)

I'm not sure how to handle electric universe material half the time myself either. It is a relatively new approach, so there isn't as much scientific material to back it up as there is with plasma cosmololgy, so i'm not entirely sure what I would put in the wiki if you created one. And I find it hard to distinguish between the plasma universe and EU often, so much plasma cosmology material is also EU material the line between them gets blurred. Best leave it for now, maybe make it in the near future when more material is available. --ZeuZ
And I just thought that i'd say that I haven't forgotten I can contribute to this site!, I am eager to add more material here in the future, there are many things that I have read over the last few months that would make good additions. Lerners material would make a good addition too, and having seen what the admins at wikipedia have done to his profile there, I feel that he deserves to have a page that outlines his work in an unbiased way here. On wikipedia the user ScienceApologist (and others) has managed to stop all of Lerners scientific material from being put on the site. Disgraceful. Thats why we need this website. Keep up the good work. --ZeuZ

Articles removed

Sorry, but I've removed the following articles as they seem only vaguely related to the Plasma Universe. --Ian Tresman 20:11, 19 December 2007 (GMT)

  • Capacitor
  • Island of Stability
  • Relaxation oscillator
  • Voltage
Thats fine, I didn't realise the scope of this site when I first arrived here, I thought I could just add anything about physics even if it wasn't strictly relevant to plasma universe. No problem. --ZeuZ

Article rename

I've renamed the article "Electric stars" to the more generic "Sun and stars". --Ian Tresman 23:38, 1 January 2008 (GMT)

I've also added some bits, and removed some of the more speculative material, unless I can fit it in with more peer-reviewed material. --Ian Tresman 00:29, 2 January 2008 (GMT)

Fine by me. I may add a few things to this soon, now I know what is required here. --ZeuZ
