Hi Ian, just wondering what is the reference you used for this page? Some aspects seem quite specific, for example, the 1–10 torr, which I'm sure is correct, but would not be surprised to find a larger range is possible, so we probably shouldn't limit out parameters unless this is definitive. I'm going to add a bit of info over the next few days to this page, theres quite a lot of material on glow discharges about. And I'll put a passing reference to Thornhills IEEE paper that postulates a glow discharge could be responsible for the spectra of stars.

I added quite a lot of material from the Structure of a Glow Discharge from Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, as it has no copyright so I might aswell. Gives a good basic overview I feel greg 22:38, 16 August 2008 (BST)
