Candle flame under the influence of a horizontal electric field. "The same effect is also observed in case of a candle flame. It does not matter whether we deal with the ions from dissociated mineral salts in a plant or the ions in the candle flame. To deflect the candle flame the horizontal electrical field is in the 100 kV/m to 1MV/m range."
